Applications in the prescribed form are invited
from candidates for recruitment to 180 posts of Assistant Surgeon in
Class-II(Group-B) of Orissa Medical Health Services Cadre.

OF PAY:Rs. 6500-200-10,500/-. 3. VACANCY POSITION:
Out of 180 posts, 37(12-W) posts are reserved for S.C., 53(18-W) posts are reserved
for S.T., 49(16-W) posts are reserved for S.E.B.C. and 41(14-W) posts are unreserved, 6
posts are reserved for Physically Handicapped(Orthopaedically Handicapped) candidates who
are capable of rendering service to the public, 5 posts are reserved for Ex-servicemen and
2 posts for Sports Persons. Candidates belonging to above
categories shall be adjusted against the categories to which they belong to. AGE :- A candidate must be under 32 years
and above 21 years of age as on the 1st August, 2004. The upper age limit is
relaxable by five years for candidates belonging to the categories of S.C. & S.T.,
Women and eligible Ex-servicemen. Three years in case of S.E.B.C. candidates and ten years in case of P.H.persons.
4. QUALIFICATION: A candidate must (i) be a
Bachelor in Medicine and Bachelor in Surgery(M.B.B.S.) from any recognized University in
the Indian Union or possess equivalent qualification or be a holder of a registerable Medical Qualification from a
recognized Medical College in United Kingdom and (ii) have after passing the final
M.B.B.S. examination from any recognized University where M.B.B.S. Course is of four &
half years duration has completed successfully Housemanship for atleast one year, but if a
candidate has passed the Final M.B.B.S. Examination of five years course from any other
recognized University where there is no obligatory rotating Housemanship prior to award of
the M.B.B.S. Degree, he/she must have completed successfully Housemanship for at least six
months on or before the last date prescribed for receipt of applications, (iii) a
candidate before appointment will have to register himself/herself under the Orissa
Medical Registration Act, 1961. HOW TO
